I was made redundant during the last BP reorganisation & I am currently considering my options

Responsibilities include: iaising with BP suppliers to generate, implement & sustain Quality Control Plans to ensuring BP quality requirements are met, Representing BP Regions at pre-production meetings and during design review phase, verifying suppliers understand BP specified equipment requirements and interpreted them accurately; The development of a BP specification for Downhole equipment to accompany API Q1, & monitoring implementation; Development and deployment of processes, procedures and tools for the growing Equipment Integrity Assurance (EIA) function; contributing to development of effective working relationships within EIA community and with suppliers/contractors on engineering quality matters. Root cause analysis and continuous improvement: identification of process failures; application of corrections and corrective actions (to prevent re-occurrence). Providing Mentoring & guidance to Regional EQS’s Monitoring & feeding back KPI’s including delivery data, concessions & NCR’s raised on BP work. Coaching of Suppliers in BP requirements.

Technical requirements provided in Statement of Requirement documents to determine Integrity Assurance Requirements for that supply. Evaluating Suppliers QA/QC proposals for manufactured equipment. Reviewing & accepting Suppliers quality Plans & associated documentation. Reviewing Supplier submitted Inspection Matrixes. Advising the responsible Wells Discipline Engineer of key testing Schedules for Qualification testing, System Integration Testing Factory Acceptance Tests etc. Advise Discipline Engineer on the disposition of supplier manufacturing concession requests can be accepted & following up with supplier to verify the correction, corrective / preventative actions as well as Root Cause Analysis. Verifying & validating the implementation of BP Specifications at suppliers. Participate in Supplier Audits & contribute to the PSCM Score card process for suppliers.

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Aberdeen branch of Technica-NNC Ltd. Main duties include preparation and issue of proposals, contract review, allocation of resources, project management, control / management of 3rd Party contractors, control / management of parent company resources. Interface with Clients and # rd Parties. Skill set is based on Auditing practises associated with RCA, Risk Assessment, Equipment integrity audits, Expediting, Inspection, supplier capability audits. Equipment specialised in includes the majority of Drilling and completion equipment

Responsible for the day-to-day running of both domestic and international verification and assurance activities. Duties included allocation of resources, monitoring and mentoring consultants, reviewing reports, providing support as required. Predominately placed within BP supply chain in both UK and Norway advising on DCR (Si913) requirements & carrying out critical intervention reviews / audits on Safety Critical Wells Equipment. Responsible for carrying out System & Product based audits on a Third party basis for Oil related Operator Clients. Responsible for participating in Environmental audits / assessments as part of a team.

Project Quality Engineer : Responsible to the Quality Manager with a reporting function to the appropriate Project Manager. Duties include the preparation of project specific quality related documentation (i.e. quality plans, inspection schedules, manufacturing data books). Co-ordination of inspection activities both inhouse & 3rd party. Represent Company/Quality dept at Client/3rd party meetings. Monitor/review project specific documentation (ie.work orders, purchase orders, specifications, contracts).Monitor vendor performance (documentation review/site visits)\ Quality Systems Engineer : Responsible to the Quality Manager for the implementation, evaluation and upkeep of the BS EN ISO 9001 :1994 approved system (LRQA) and the API Q1 Licences (5CT, 6A & 17D). Duties include internal & external auditing including satellite facilities (Norway/Denmark) and suppliers. Collation and evaluation of non-conformance reports, waivers and suppliers. Reviewing the overall Quality Management System and presenting the information to Senior Management. Training in the requirements of Quality System Awareness and various procedures to management and shop floor. Administration of Quality System documentation etc.. Compilation of "Plans for Quality" for tenders / contracts.

Manager. To deputise for the Group QA Manager in his absence. To implement, monitor and audit the quality system procedures to ensure compliance with BS 5750 Part 2. (Now ISO 9001) To prepare system procedures, project specific procedure packages and quality plans. To organise calibration of equipment to Group procedures. To review documentation packages prior to release. To review clients enquiries for QA/Documentation requirements. To deputise for Group QA Manager in his absence. To carry out external audits of Vendor Quality Systems. BS 5750 Part 2 approval awarded in November 1992.

Duties involved helping to set up quality system, writing procedures for quality manual, auditing vendors, reviewing purchase orders, goods in inspection, vendor inspection (witness testing, review procedures etc) and compiling documentation packages for certifying authority review.
