Born, raised and having spent my whole working life in Leeds (with no ambition to move anywhere else) I qualified as a solicitor in 1986. Many years have passed and you can now find me teamed up with the one and only Ray Goodman. Together, with the rest of our incredible team, we make up Goodman Grant.I have been advising dentists for well over 20 years, primarily in the field of practice sales and purchases but also employment, regulatory, partnership disputes, incorporations and commercial agreements such as expense share agreements. In essence, if a dentist needs a lawyer, then I am here to help.I served as Chairman of the Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists (ASPD) from 2010 to 2012 and am also a member of the National Association of Specialist Dental Accountants and Lawyers. I was responsible for organising the first ASPD annual conference in 2011.My biggest passion is cycling, having completed my first international charity bike ride in 1993, I discovered we have these things called the Yorkshire Dales about 2 minutes from home. In 2019 I completed my 16th charity bike in America.As well as visiting some fabulous places (you haven't lived until you've cycled through a safari park or a tea plantation!) I have managed to raise about £100,000.00 for charity along the way. As is always the way with these things however, I have got out far more than I have put in!

He’s a past Chairman of the Association of Specialist Providers to Dentists (ASPD) as well as being the current Vice Chair.Since 1993 John has taken part in 17 international charity bike rides (as well as many smaller charity rides), raising in the region of £100,000 for those with learning disabilities.
