Extensive experience in public order and event management - qualified Gold and Silver Public Order Commander. Previous experience includes Overseas Police Silver Commander with the UK Football Policing Unit during Euro 2012 UEFA Football Championships in Ukraine, and extensive Champions League fixtures both in the UK and across Europe, in particular UK overseas Police Commander at the European Champions League Final, in Rome 2009. Also Police Commander for the Rugby Superleague Grand Finals, 2006-2013, at Old Trafford, and led the planning for the policing of the 2013 Rugby League World Cup Final.I have extensive experience in leading the policing of protests and demonstrations in Greater Manchester involving a wide and varied spectrum of narratives and social issues. As Operations Police Commander at Rochdale, Manchester, I gained extensive experience in child protection, tackling child exploitation and policing political and social extremism.After 30 succesful years in the Police service, I am now engaged in the health regulation industry with the General Medical Council - the regulator of registered doctors in the UK. Involved in the investigation of complaints and referrals related to concerns over fitness to practise.
