Position adds responsibility for Engineering, Process Control, Continuous Improvement (until Aug 2013), Procurement / Logistics, and Pulp Warehousing / Shipping functions; retains Information Technology and Stores functions. Responsibilities include Capital Project development ($10MM + budget including an Axial-Radial wrapline, trim baling system, Batch digester, Multi-Fuel Burners in Recovery Boiler, Natural gas Fired Power boilers), Project Management, and supervision of all groups detailed above. Design and implementation of on-site warehousing functions resulting in annual savings of $2.0 MM.

Position adds responsibility for the Storeroom, Machine Shop, Pump Shop, and Mill Services functions. Responsibilities include management of program for repairing stock item spares, vendor managed and consignment inventory programs. Reduced stores inventory by $1.1 MM. Member of corporate Reliability Assessment Team.

Responsible for leadership of the I/T department to provide support and maintenance of mill network, business software, process and quality applications, communications, and related project management. Reduced telecommunication cost by 50% with implementation of VoIP telephony. Lead three (3) additional contractors and six (6) Maintenance Technicians in business process improvement efforts such as Operator Basic Care and PM optimization.

This group provided specialized services in the areas of winders, machine rolls, pump reconditioning, a precision machine shop, and four contract engineers. Focus of the group is to improve reliability through continuous improvement in procedures, failure analysis, benchmarking, Basic Care, and technology. Lead team to develop Corporate Best Practices for Storeroom operations.

Responsible for leadership and implementation of Best Maintenance Practices for mill and EMPAC (CMMS), including training and process development of mill planners. Lead / support activities supporting improvements in utilization of technology and systems to improve facility performance and reliability.

Responsible for the start-up, optimization, and management of a 1,800 TPD Recycle Facility. Managed thirty-seven hourly employees (operations and maintenance) and six salary employees. Began implementation of team structure within the department with integrated operations and maintenance.

Responsible for News Mill Finishing / Shipping operation. Recycled fiber procurement group handled supply to the existing (400 TPD) Deinking facility as well as acquiring contracts for the new Recycle facility (1,800 TPD).

Managed four system coordinators. Operational manager for AS/400, quality systems, product management (Majiq: Elixir), and mil network. Responsible for design and implementation of organization-wide systems that directly reduced operational cost by allowing for seamless integration of business and manufacturing information.

Managed a department of thirty-one employees. Departmental responsibilities include production scheduling; order entry; and preparation and shipment of all finished product. Team leader for three customer focus teams emphasizing product quality and customer satisfaction. Supervised installation, and responsible for daily operation, of integrated product management system (Majiq: Elixir).

Supervised ten employees in the effluent treatment facility. Responsible for environmental issues and permitting, Title V, RACT, and compliance, and discharge issues. Provided project engineering for planning and installation of capital projects throughout the mill.

Supervised nine technicians in the quality testing laboratories. Responsible for development and implementation of solutions to optimize the TMP and Recycle processes. Provided engineering support in planning and installation of capital projects in thee areas, including the start-up of the 180 TPD deinking facility.
