John is an experienced transport analyst having been involved in the development and application of numerous transport models over a period of 13 years.His main expertise is in the development of strategic highway assignment models for the purpose of projecting traffic and revenue forecasts for overseas toll road projects. He is also experienced in the development of multi-modal transport models of towns and cities within the UK.John is conversant in several macro-scopic modelling suites including Emme, SATURN, Cube Trips and Cube Voyager and meso-scopic modelling using Dynameq. This knowledge is complimented by expert knowledge of Geographical Information Systems using MapInfo.One of John’s key strengths is his knowledge of Visual Basic programming within Microsoft Excel, and the use of this to develop of innovative tools and processes to control the inputs and outputs to/from from transport models and to create linkages between different modelling packages. He is fully conversant with current guidance and advice from both HA and Webtag sources.
