Me in three words: I'm a writer. It started with high school poetry and prose (one of those poems actually got published!). At the university level, it continued when I helped my research mentors write journal articles and abstracts as an undergraduate, and at the graduate level in the world of magazine journalism. And it continues today. Professionally, I market annuities, figuring out how to make people without a financial bent not just understand a highly technical, complicated product, but make them understand how important one may be to their financial future. Personally, I write fiction, especially science fiction. The means may be different, but the ends and the tools are the same: using words to transfer ideas and make the complex commonplace.Whatever the topic - I've had the opportunity to write about everything from schizophrenia to harness racing - it's a challenge that I love tackling.
