I am an experienced systems level and in vivo scientist with a focus on Neuroscience and Gene Therapy. I am currently working on Gene Therapies using in vivo methods though my background spans broad range of both in vivo and in-vitro physiological techniques. I have special interest and experience in electrophysiology, advanced machine learning and statistical techniques in both python and matlab. I am always seeking extramural experiences in pharmaceutical research, entrepreneurship, and leadership. As a well rounded bench scientist I hope to leverage my knowledge base in drug development, medical anatomy and physiology, neuroscience, and PKPD to discover and develop novel treatments for diseases.

In Vivo Scientist In Genetic Medicine
- Design, manage, and execute in vivo pharmacology studies for Gene Therapy drug candidates- Develop and validate novel animal models and functional assays for testing Gene Therapies- Designs PK/DM, PD, efficacy, candidate screens, MOA studies in rodent models- Involved in neuro, immune, ophthalmic, and pulmonology indications.- Advances platform technologies including LNPs, AAV, Lenti, vectorized antibodies, and prime editors- Instruct and Teach staff and colleagues in-vivo techniques- interface with IACUC and IBC committees-Process and interpret in vivo and ex vivo datasets
Postdoctoral Fellow
I managed a multiproject program examining Fragile X in a transgenic rat model in the Jadhav lab. In one arm of this program, we studied social development in young animals via ultrasonic vocalization trajectories. Our second arm used high density (~64 tetrode) in-vivo electrophysiology in behaving adult rats to investigate the neural underpinnings of 1 social deficits and 2 cognitive inflexibility seen in Fragile X.
Postdoctoral Researcher
In-vivo electrophysiologist managing a team working on a variety of in-vivo neural recording and optogenetic stimulation projects.
Phd Candidate, Laboratory Of Cognitive Neurobiology
I studied the neural basis of learning and memory using in-vivo electrophysiology and optogenetics in freely behaving rodents. During my degree I managed over a dozen undergraduate researchers and published multiple manuscripts under multiple principals.
Research Intern
-Used FACS and MACS technology to select for specific neuronal cell types-Developed a cell-culture based assay for early candidate screens-Participated in strategic meetings for neurodegenerative disease
Associate Scientist
Planned and executed an independent project validating small molecule retinal prosthesis using patch-clamp electrophysiology, cell culture, chemical synthesis, surface chemistry, electrochemistry, and spectral analyses
