Hyperion Enterprise 6.5.1.1 support and administration, SAP R/3 G/L support and enhancement development (essentially similar to prior position with some added responsibilities in SAP).Due to a recent acquisition, I've had the opportunity to work with and support Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Reporting Studio as well.

Responsible for all Hyperion Enterprise & Reporting system concerns - user support, maintenance, application and reporting development, user training, web site development and support, application and web servers, add-in programs such as E-Company, etc.Support month-end financial close for mainframe and Hyperion processes to ensure all data is passed to & from appropriate systems and consolidated for management, statutory, and other reporting.Developed separate EUR based IFRS reporting application in Hyperion to accommodate new statutory consolidated reporting requirements.Implemented SEC reporting solution selected by senior management (EdgarizerX) and trained financial reporting staff to use and support it. Provide SAP R/3 technical support by writing specs for program enhancements and corrections. Created set of SAP programs and tables to eliminate the mainframe process from the monthly financial close, which removed about four hours of effort during critical time.Note that while this entry shows 13 years in the same role, the responsibilities and level have grown significantly over those years.

Audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements for a variety of clients. Supervised and trained staff in the performance of those engagements. Conducted special consulting and systems projects, including evaluating and implementing new audit software (AceAudit and Ace Fund) and converting our firm to Microsoft Office (from WordPerfect/Lotus).

Performed general accounting duties, such as coding and recording accounts payable, vendor maintenance, preparing checks, general ledger and bank account reconciliations, etc., as well as managerial accounting in developing cost calculations for finished goods inventory. Also maintained small office Novell LAN environment supporting both hardware and software and was the accounting system administrator.
