    Since 1955, The Community Blood Center (CBC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has worked with blood donors to provide a steady, reliable blood supply for hospitals. Today, the blood center remains an independent, non-profit organization committed to serving hospital patients.CBC collects blood from donors, tests and processes it in our laboratory, and prepares it for hospital patients. We currently provide over 40 Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan hospitals with a full range of blood components, including red blood cells, platelets and plasma. CBC operates neighborhood donor centers in Appleton, Oshkosh, Little Chute, and Woodruff, WI along with 9 mobile collection vehicles including mobile collections in Chicago, IL. Last year, volunteer donors gave more than 65,000 blood donations with CBC.Our staff members seek to raise awareness about blood donation by offering informational presentations, educational materials, and classroom talks.
