John is a former Managing Director of Willis Towers Watson (WTW) and leader of the Executive Compensation and Rewards (ECR) practice for Canada. He had bottom line responsibility for a consulting practice with 60 professionals in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Prior to consulting, John spent several years in banking and finance.John retired from WTW in 2018 but continued to provide part time support on a contract basis. He returned to lead the practice on a full time basis from May, 2021 to February, 2022 during a period of business uncertainty and transition, and was actively involved in all aspects of managing the practice including client work and identifying his successor. John is on the Board of the Terminal City Club, where he is the Chair of the Governance Committee, Vice Chair of the House & Membership Committee, and member of the Finance and Compensation Committees. He is also on an Advisory Board for a company engaged in the sales and distribution of home products in Canada and the US. He has the certified corporate director designation (ICD.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors and is actively pursuing other board service opportunities. John provides coaching and mentoring support to a number of individuals in managing their careers.
