I worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories/Lucent Technologies for 18 years. During this time I formulated and implemented several high visibility project plans for national and international Customers. I played a key role on many First Service Applications such as the introduction of Carrier Interconnect in 1985, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) in 1987, International Credit Card Validation in 1990/91, First Digital Wireless application in Japan in 1992/94. I was a Certified AT&T Bell Laboratories Project Manager for Subscriber Line Carrier Business Unit from 1995 to 2000. I was awarded a US Patent for my work associated with the International Credit Card Validation project in 1991. Patent issued in January of 1994. In 2001 I was part of a team that implemented the Mentoring Program. From 2002 to 2006, I served the PMI Chicagoland Chapter as Director for Mentoring Program. From 2006 to 2007, I served as VP of Finance for the PMI Chicagoland Chapter in 2006/2007.Since my retirement in July of 2001, I have taught approximately 2,500 students in classes at: St Xavier University in Chicago –2003 to 2009 - Undergraduate and Graduate level courses in Project Management Global Knowledge – 2006 to 2020 – IT Project Management, Project Management Fundamentals, PMP Exam Prep Boot Camp, Microsoft Project, Schedule and Budget Project Management course. Site manager for introduction of carrier interconnect in 1985. Testing coordinator for ISDN features at McDonald’s headquarters in 1987. In 1990 to 1992 I was the site manager for introduction of a feature allowing the use of a credit card to complete international telephone calls without operator assistance. I was awarded a U.S. patent for testing this feature. In 1992 I was on team that made the first digital wireless call in the Japan telephone network. In 1993 to 1994 I was one of the site managers responsible for the customer acceptance testing of the first 5ESS switch configured for cellular service. A Japanese version of GSM.
