SolidWorks• Lead designer of custom bridge consoles for Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessel (OOSV) for Canadian Coast Guard (CCG); scope of work includes: design layout of multiple custom designed bridge consoles, incorporating all Navigational equipment (including INS, Nav1 and PC6 requirements), Internal & External communications and Dynamic Positioning equipment for form and fit within console constraints. Identifying all class and regulations for Lloyds Rules and International Maritime Organization as they apply to wheelhouse layouts.•Incorporated ASTM F1166 requirements to console design. • Included Basic Design Assessment (BDA) report for bridge consoles on OOSV; scope of work included: decomposition of customer specifications, as applied to class and regulation requirements.•System Design Review (SDR)•System Subsystem Specification (SSS)•Bridge Console Design Report (BCDR).•3D model of complete ship (external) including all antenna, navigation lights, day shapes and top side equipment (applied to EMI/EMC analysis, required Antenna and Navigation Lights Arrangement drawing submissions).•Created complete 3D wheelhouse model including all outfitting items, consoles and window arrangements for Lloyd's rule and IMO MSC 982 assessment. •Front facing with customer for various meetings including Bridge layout, Main Mast, Cable tray layouts, Magnetic Compass, Overhead displays and design reviews. •Review of all compartment drawings from customer •Review of customers PCS equipment, and•Lead on overview of Console manufacturing and technical meetings with manufacturer.• Developed prototype design for Comtrac rail signaling division.• Responsible for design, layout and manufactured parts within development of ISO shipping equipment shelter for TCR (Tactical Control Radar).• Support junior engineers with designs and SolidWorks (best practices).
