These were jobs to maintain the material readiness of equipment used in fighting fires and/or combatting flooding within divisional spaces. Received a grade of "Outstanding" during an inspection by the "Commander of Naval Air Forces Atlantic".- Was in charge of maintenance and cleanliness of 32 divisional spaces, 3 of which had to be reconfigured for embarked flag staffs.- Received consecutive perfect (4.0 on a scale of 1.0 to 4.0) performance evaluations for the period of December 1987 to August 1989.

- Promoted to Operations Specialist First Class.- Coordinated and oversaw the Staff Maintenance, Material, Management (3M) System and set a record for most staff job completions in a single 3 month period.- Assisted the Divisional Leading Petty Officer in his duties.- Was placed in charge of all training and Education for the division and received a perfect grade when inspected by Commander-In-Chief U.S. Naval Forces Europe (CINCUSNAVEUR).- Was one of a few who dual-qualified as "Staff Duty Petty Officer" (SDPO) and "Assistant Staff Duty Officer" (ASDO). - Operated several different radiotelephone circuits within the flag command spaces.- Was a member of the Commander's targeting cell during operations off the coast of Lebanon, where I was awarded a "Letter Of Commendation" from Commander Sixth Fleet for establishing the initial computer data base for targeting, and maintaining the files and charts in a high state of readiness; which resulted in my being nominated for "Sailor Of The Quarter" for period of April to June 1985.- Daily prepared the "War Room" for staff briefings.- Was a member of the "Personnel Reliability Program" (PRP) and, as such, served as the "Sealed Authentication System" (SAS) and "Emergency Action Message" (EAM) assistant administrator.- Received the "Navy Unit Commendation", "Navy Expeditionary Medal" and "Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal" for operations in the vicinity of Libya.- Received consecutive perfect (4.0 on a scale of 1.0 to 4.0) performance evaluations for the period of December 1985 to May of 1987.- Was awarded the "Navy Achievement Medal" by the Secretary of the Navy for professional achievement in the superior performance of the aforementioned duties.
