I love to see people and organizations make breakthroughs. I focus on applying the wisdom and insight gathered from working with innovative leaders and conducting academic research in more than 15 countries across multiple continents. That often involves coming alongside seasoned leaders and specialists to take in multiple perspectives on the puzzles they are looking to solve. Solutions often involve minimalist interventions that leverage existing resources. That takes intellectual and moral imagination. It usually involves decent data analytics alongside inside-out and collaborative approaches. The greatest outcomes emerge when leaders involved possess the courage and resilience to be transformed themselves. Working with others this way to create novel paths forward in business, academics, and social enterprise has been bringing me joy (and a few grey hairs) for 20+ years.
