Kansas City

I was a contractor then became an employee of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. The Federal Reserve Bank emphases were on security and redundancy of network design and operations. I was a project leader with teams that took pride in completing projects on time and under budget projections. The teams during my time at the bank replaced all switching and routing equipment, creating a private MPLS network for redundancy, and adding voice over IP on the networks.Administration of gigabit, Fast Ethernet design, operation and maintenance Configured and maintained Virtual Private Networks (VPN) over the Internet and MPLS networks Installed, configured, and maintained Cisco 3500, 3750, 6509 series switches running 100 Mbs to 1000 Mbs Ethernet running 2 and 3 layer configurations. Installed, configured, and maintained 2500, 3640, and 7206 routers. Configurations included policy maps, VPN, static routes, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, HSRP, access list.Provided the Bank with process recovery documentation for redundancy.

I was a consultant for Raviant Networks clients. After Raviant went out of business I continued contracting for Sprint. I worked for Cisco on two projects and the other clients included a carrier network, enterprise networks, and a dot.com. Provided dot.com, and large enterprise clients with expert analysis on LAN/WAN network design and application support.On-Call troubleshooting Agilent Network sniffer to provide network problem and solution analysisProvided network security consulting for various clients.Provided IP client/server and network performance reports to various clients leading to the improvement of their design and performance in client/server communications.

Kansas City

Olsten Health Care purchased other health related companies and our network team integrated up to 450+ remote sites. Client/server communications were analyzed to reduce transaction time. Other businesses that provided supplies were also connected securely to the wide area network. Olsten had Perot Inc. analyze the cost of network operations and Perot produced a report stating that their corporation could not find any additional reductions of network operating cost.Technical leader for enterprise network installs of Ethernet, ATM, Frame Relay, switching and routing technologies Responsibilities included overall design and operation of physical and logical internetworking throughout the United States and Canada.
