I am responsible for managing a shift consisting of 25-30 employees for a logistics and supply chain management company in the West Jefferson area. The company works in partnership through contracts with a well known food brand and distributes their product to grocery chains locally and in several surrounding states. I assign specific line leads to production lines at the beginning of the shift and assign them team members based on production goals and shipment scheduling. When i was recruited for this position I took on a responsibility to raise shift production. With strategic planning, training, and staff management, I am optimistic that I will achieve an acceptable weekly production percentage to satisfy company standards of operations.

I was hired by Accurate IT in 2011 for an entry level position. I then began cross training and filling other positions as needed, as well as training new staff members in these positions. Through training I was able to implement many standard operating procedures still in place by the company today. When the company moved in September of 2013, I had worked my way up to the processing supervisor, and my team was first sent to the new facility with high expectations. Within our 6 week week deadline, we were able to receive and process all inventoried stock, as well as maintain new incoming client material while also working with other staff members to set up the new facility (racking, storage, etc). Shortly after successfully meeting our deadline, I was placed in charge of the inbound department. At this time our product was backlogged by two to three months and not inventoried. As I stepped in I trained two other staff members, I began putting new systems in place not only for receiving and inventory but also for transporting material and dispersing product to the proper departments. In just over one month we were able to inventory and process all stagnant material with an improved process and flow. At the time of my departure from the company, all work orders were consistently within one to three days of being inventoried.
