John Hayward was appointed the CEO of the DiSTI Corporation in July 2020. DiSTI provides innovative solutions for training and human machine interface to the defense, aerospace, automotive, and industrial markets. Products include GL Studio - an industry leading HMI UI/UX design product, VE Studio - the world’s most proven development platform for creating 3D virtual training solutions. He is responsible for strategy and oversees the direction of The DiSTI Corporation. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategies, managing the organization to ensure profitable growth, leading organization, driving innovation, and meeting the goals established by the board of directors.

Established growth strategy has resulted in profitable growth of the Government Solutions business. Responsible for new business and operational execution for the Government Solutions operating unit of TRU. We provide simulators and services for US DoD and International military and customers.

Responsible for P&L and growth of the Support Solutions business unit which is focused on providing operations, maintenance, and training service for customers of unmanned aircraft, manned fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and land vehicles.

Responsible for P&L, program execution, and growth within the Logistics Services line of business. Manage a diverse set of programs that include deployed personnel and international customers.

P&L responsibility for a business line focused on Training and Simulation for US and international defense customers. Grew top line from $8M to $53M annually while improving the bottom line.

Managed the C-17 MTS program. Directed the capture and execution of all program elements including production, modifications, and aftermarket support.

Deputy Program Manager for the C-17 MTS program. Managed day to day operations in an integrated project team environment.

Managed engineering elements in a startup organization. This included establishing processes, choosing and standing up tools for hardware engineering, software engineering, configuration management, and systems engineering. Involved in the hiring of more than 200 personnel. Led SEI CMMI Level 3 process improvement achieving certification in 2003.

Started with Singer Link. Acquired by CAE in 1988. Acquired by Hughes Training in 1996. Finally by Raytheon in 1998. Since I left they have been acquired by L3. I started as a Electrical Engineer in 1986, performed hardware design from 1989 - 1991, software engineering in 1991-1996 and software engineering manager from 1996-1998
