Baines Simmons is a trusted partner to more than 350 leading aviation organisations in 40 countries.We have trained over 70,000 professionals and worked with 30 National Regulatory Authorities. My role included the promotion of Baines Simmons consulting, managed services and training to the Civil Aviation regulatory sector predominantly in Europe. Baines Simmons takes a lot of pride in their people development and I was fortunate to receive in depth training in Safety Management Systems, Consulting Skills and Strategic Planning coaching.

CAA International is a Consultancy offering Training, Consulting and Examination services to a global aviation clientele. It serves as the commercial arm of the CAA. The training department provides training courses using subject matter experts from the authority to deliver the content of the courses. My overall remit is to develop, promote and manage the open course curriculum with a team of four reports. My role also includes developing our business internationally. This has lead to a regional suit of training courses being delivered in Malaysia in March with the next suite being planned for October. I am in discussions with the UAE to run a similar suite of programmes in Abu Dhabi and then aim to expand this portfolio to Singapore.

The L&D department runs as an internal consultancy with it's own branding. The department offers a core curriculum, tailored solutions, coaching and psychometric assessments. My key responsibilities included developing and implementing the above programmes to my client groups and all management training within the organisation. I was also nominated as part of the SAP implementation team.

Personnel Development Strategies is a consultancy based in Cape Town with an international and blue chip client list, largely within the mining and oil industries. I managed the financial, resources and marketing areas of the business. I was the main contractor for Shell Retail training. I also managed a number of projects for clients such as BP

I managed a Shell Garage with a car wash, Select Store and forecourt. I was able to increase the volume in sales significantly which gave me the experience to take on the challenge of providing the retail training to Shell Southern Africa in my next role.
