I help clients by counseling them on how to comply with environmental rules and regulations, and I represent them in litigation when their cases go to court or other administrative body. Environmental laws include the Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Clean Air Act, Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Brownfields, wetlands, stormwater, etc. Over the years, I have also worked throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico with other environmental issues like sustainability, chemical management and regulation, extended producer responsibility issues, including electronic waste recycling and management, etc. Eventually, I became certified as an ISO 14001:2004 EMS Auditor so that I can perform Environmental Health & Safety audits for my clients. My environmental counseling also includes environmental issues in real estate and commercial transactions, like when property changes hands or when companies merge or are bought and sold. I also counsel in a wide variety of other regulatory matters (such as health & safety (OSHA), customs, corporate governance and corporate compliance) and manage complex civil litigation.
