I am a highly motivated individual looking to return to work as an electronic engineer afterbuilding up a high quality cabinetmaking business. I have a passion for environmental issues, sustainable technology and renewable energy sources.My PhD and subsequent research included -development of a complete speed response model of photodectors including heterojunction bipolar phototransistors, PIN diodes and avalanche photodiodes for use up to 40Gb/s in fiber optic systems.-DC characterisation and high speed optical measurements of travelling wave photodectors -a feasibility study of "rectyfiying antenna" for use as solar power devices includingCabinet making requires highly accurate hand work alongside an engineering mindset for design and problem solving. Running a small business has broadened my skillset to encomapass management, teaching, and development of systems to optimise the functioning of the business. I am currently persuing online degree courses through EdX to refresh and update my electronics knowledge and learn about new and emerging technologies.
