I am a data science manager within Deloitte Transaction and Business Analytics. I hold a PhD in pure mathematics and currently manage the AI Community of Excellence (AI CoE) strategy and operations for the Deloitte Advisory Regulatory and Legal Services operating unit.Before joining the AI CoE, I was the data science manager/technical lead for the Data Science Team for the Pallium Program Integrity for Healthcare Solution asset. I combine his background in pure mathematics, machine learning and extensive teaching/instructional experience with his consulting background to work with clients to develop analytic-based solutions that mitigate both known and unknown risks. At Deloitte, I have worked with automotive, federal, foreign government clients to develop and deploy machine learning algorithms to enhance the client’s fraud detection capabilities by unearthing hidden signals in the client’s data. Early detection can help the client mitigate potentially serious risks, such as failure to issue a recall on time and having a client system inundated with fraudulent claims and client customer accounts that have been compromised by first party fraud or identity theft.
