Over his 30-year construction career working in the GTA and abroad, he has led a wide range of multi-million dollar builds (industrial and commercial through residential), many of them from the ground up. His unique foresight and shrewd problem-solving skills enable him to fast-track builds of exceptional quality — and keep them on schedule for demanding clients.From his many contacts in the field, John has assembled a hand-picked roster of first-rate designers, subcontractors, engineers and specialty trades that he carefully assigns and oversees on each project: Hotels across Ontario for the Marriot and Hilton chain. Industrial and commercial faculties for SNC Lavalin, Gay Lea Foods, RBC Insurance. Upscale restaurants, including Biff’s Bistro and Bier Market (Shops at Don Mills). GTAA Administration building and its Infield buildings ($80 million project) Three retirement homes from the ground up ($7.8 million project) Custom homes – including a 12000 sq. . Forest Hill residence ($7.2 million) and an8000 sq. foot log cabin modern conversion ($5.2 million) Institutional builds for Interior Academy of Design (CBC building and York University(Library) A 98-unit low -rise condo building in Nassau Bahamas, ($42 million project)Prior to forming HCM construct, John oversaw construction projects for large companies, working as a senior construction manager with TGA, P.C.I. and STC, among others. With TGA, he directed major projects totaling budgets of more than $140 million a year.John holds a Civil Engineering Technology degree from Ryerson University and is fully registered with the Project Management Institute.
