I have been in the development/fundraising world my entire professional life. The positions have been diverse. But, the goal of raising funds for something that I love is constant. I have raised funds for philanthropic, artistic and medical research causes. Feeling passionately about these positions made certain that I excelled at each position.At all times when dealing with donors, I have always maintained a personal, interested and singular focus on what their needs, hopes and desires are. My goal is to connect in a personal and professional way the dreams and aspirations of the donor with the cause. By training, and possibly more importantly by instinct, I understand when and how to reach out to donors. I realize the importance of timely communications, knowing about the donor in a personal way, cultivating the relationship between the donor the cause and understanding the appropriate and natural time to present the request for a particular gift. Development and fundraising depend on discipline, self-motivation, team work, and sincerely and honestly building relationships with the donors.
