MD of J P Hickey Building Services Pty Ltd and Hickey and Carr Constructions Pty Ltd,two award winning and successful building companies.During this period these two companies successfully completed over 250 projects ranging from high end custom homes, factory developments, medical centres, dual occupancy and villa development work, underpinning works a golf course and Consulting Works. Mr Hickey also acted as an expert witness in the Local, District and Supreme courts of NSW and as a Consultant on Arbitrations and cases before the Administrative Decisions Tribunal & the Department of Fair Trading Building Disputes Tribunal. He was a Tribunal Appointed Expert with the Department of Fair Trading and carried out Tribunal appointed references when requested.Mr Hickey's companies won many awards in that period from either the Master Builder's Association, the Housing Industry Association or Local Council's.

Mr Hickey gained experience on all types of Commercial and Industrial and Health buildings including office blocks, residential unit blocks, factories, hospitals, banks, high rise office towers etc. He successfully ran projects worth up to $160,000,000 in the late 80's including 3 office towers at Centennial Plaza, an office tower for Australian Construction Services in Haymarket and the St George Hospital redevelopment.
