Traveling extensively both to national trade shows and suppliers as well as Internationally, to ensure Crocus continues to lead the gardening market in the UK. Also responsible for business development and management of key accounts as well as dealing with journalists and press requests.

With a unrivalled knowledge of the home and garden market place I wrote a weekly column influencing telegraph readers what to buy for their Home and gardens. With autonomy from editorial, I was responsible for selecting my own subjects to write about. During my 6 years writing, I launched many new products into the UK.

Initially I worked in all company areas to gain knowledge of the American market before setting within the product and sales teams. Assisted in product sales into multinationals e.g. Wal Mart and Home Depot.

Ensured the company grew through quality ensuring product quality from production to the end customer. I also was responsible for setting minimum product standards for key accounts inc Marks and Spencer. Developed product data sheets to ensure only the right product got to the end consumer reducing wastage and complaints.
