I have over 25 years experience supporting highly complex VMS configurations, the attached networks, layered products, underlying hardware, and the interaction to other O/S environments. Roles include Escalation Specialist, VMS Ambassador, Technical Problem Manager, Account Manager, and mentor.

I was the technical lead on an RFP for the purchase of a real-time satellite data collection system that collected water runoff related data throughout the Pacific Northwest. Once the contract was awarded, I verified that the vendor met the requirements of the RFP and engineered the necessary Fortran and Macro programs to connect this new system to the existing applications. I also converted a large Fortran river basin modeling application from an IBM mainframe to VMS in order for the model to use live data collected by satellite.Using FORTRAN and Macro on the RT-11 O/S I created and implemented changes to a vendor supplied radio based data collection system to fix existing problems and to automatically provide collected information to several other government organizations.I was also was part of a Bureau-wide team that designed and wrote a large system of COBOL applications and command language scripts running on a Control Data Corporation Cyber that provided warehouse inventory management at each of the many warehouses used by the Bureau of Reclamation.
