HNB is unique in the construction industry in that both its directors are very hands-on in the day-to-day running of the business. While Anthony is looking after the office side of operations I look after the practical side of the business. This includes the everything from visiting sites; liaising with surveyors, structural engineers, and other professions to meeting with clients to discuss their vision of a project and match that with the practicalities of construction. HNB Ltd have multiple teams that are out on site, often on high-value projects for client’s sensitive to their privacy. While I trust our teams implicitly, I like to visit all our sites at least once a week. It gives me the opportunity to ensure clients are happy and support our contracts managers or estimators – which ever stage the site is at. As a business we are very customer focused and while my skills are in construction and putting together the right teams for each project, I am also happy to spend time with clients to ensure all their concerns are met and they feel they are supported by all levels of our business from myself, as a director, to our teams that are on site daily.
