About John Hodgson

I retired in June/July 2015 having worked for the Department for Education (DfE) for more than 42 years. I started work in teachers’ pensions policy and delivery when it was a departmental responsibility. I then moved into IT work and spent many years as a programmer, systems analyst, quality manager, project/programme manager and internal IT consultant. I moved back into policy work in 2002. During my time in policy I have worked on SEN, academies and free school policy. In my last post I was a policy advisor working on a variety of policy projects.
