I founded Good Drinks Australia (nee Gage Roads Brewing Co) in 2002 with my brother Bill. He was the brewer, I was the number cruncher. Our aim was to get a great beer into every fridge & pub in Australia.After roles including pouring the footings and installing and commissioning our first brew & packaging kit, Head of Ops, Sales, Marketing, Cosec and CFO, I took over as MD in 2011. I'm so thrilled to see Good Drinks become a vibrant, fun and profitable business growing into Australia's 4th largest brewery enterprise and largest independent craft brewer. We've expanded our footprint to all states and territories of Australia and expanded our portfolio into RTDs with the acquisition of Matso's (Alcoholic Ginger Beer) in 2018 and recently to include international brands with world beaters Coors, Millers, Magners and San Miguel. Building scale in brands, manufacturing, distribution, sales and marketing while staying true to our obsession with quality has been our core strategy. Recently we have also been proud to create real connections with our consumers through our hospitality arm with our successful branded venues Gage Roads Fremantle WA and Matso's Sunshine Coast QLD.Proudly, Gage Roads Single Fin Summer Ale is the #1 independent craft beer, Matso's Ginger Beer is the #1 independent alcoholic ginger beer and Miller Chill with Lime is the #1 flavoured beer in Australia.Most importantly, I'm in awe the wonderful team of people we have been able to attract to work with us along the way, and the wonderful supplier, customer and industry relationships we have made. The caliber of our team and the people we do business with is inspiring and I learn from them every day. My ambition is to provide our team a respectful, honest, transparent, fun and great place to work and to make it easy for our customers and suppliers to do business with us.Our purpose is still to get a Good Drink into every fridge and pub in Australia and to have fun doing it!
