I am responsible for providing technical software engineering leadership, architecting software and data solutions, and providing data science oversight with a focus on the healthcare industry. I participate heavily in the recruitment and growth of the engineering teams from the creation of job descriptions, performing technical interviews, and providing ongoing technical and career mentorship. I led development efforts to create a voice-interactive digital kiosk combining the efforts of software engineers, game developers, voice actors, and data scientists to provide a custom branded and scripted ordering experience. I assisted in the creation of an employee mental health tracking data warehouse with training and deploying custom NLP models to monitor employee topics and sentiment during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. I provided migration of legacy Java and .NET web applications from traditional application servers to containerized environments. I led efforts for multiple clients to remediate and verify HIPAA, HITRUST, and PCI compliance in Microsoft Azure deployments. I assisted multiple clients with initial Databricks infrastructure deployment with a focus DevOps integration and data pipeline monitoring. I provided MLOps-focused conference materials and delivered presentations to assist the sales team with lead generation and customer outreach. I led development efforts for a mobile virtual patient care application to enable insurance providers to directly connect patients to care teams and provide an integrated billing experience that directly reconciled claims and patient billing against explanation-of-benefits statements to ensure transparent and accurate billing. I led efforts to provide low-level SQL performance optimizations and create updated best practice guidelines for the database operations of an online pharmacy product handling daily orders in the tens of thousands.

I was responsible for providing technical leadership, prototyping new technology solutions, and serving as a technical product owner for a cloud-based electronic health records and practice management software-as-a-service provider. I assisted with the creation of internal coding best practices and code review processes. I architected and led development efforts on an optical practice management and medical records analytics platform built using Java, Cassandra and ElasticSearch. This analytics platform provided the ability for thousands of practices to view clinical and practice analytics data in real time. I designed and developed an REST API middleware and domain specific language to connect our Java/Spring backend with our TypeScript/Angular frontend that provided reflection of our Java domain objects into JavaScript domain objects and automatically handled all validation and serialization concerns. This middleware allowed for Java classes and Spring endpoints to be translated directly to TypeScript service and data layer for front end developers while also incorporating medical code value data types for EMR screens. I developed a browser automation integration suite in Java and Objective-C to provide integrations with third-party organizations that only provided browser-based services. I developed a HIPAA-compliant mobile application for the iOS and Android platforms to provide access to practice and patient data. I architected and developed a medical record interoperability and reporting platform as part of our Meaningful Use/CEHRT certifications and trade group research and support clean export and import of CCDA, HL7, and EDI records. I designed and developed a medical billing platform to provide order integration and claims transparency for partner insurance platforms. This platform allowed opticians to cleanly breakdown benefits coverage to patients in real time at the time of order creation instead of waiting for traditional claim submission.

I was responsible for the delivery of web-based and mobile based applications to clients, developing new product offerings, and supporting the internal technology infrastructure. My involvement in client solutions began at the initial proposal and extended through maintenance and support. Product offerings that I had developed included a fully localized content management system and an event registration management platform that could be quickly customized and deployed to meet client needs. All client projects were developed by a team of contractors and full-time developers whom I managed directly. Web applications were developed for the C#/.NET platform using C#/ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server and MongoDB and hosted using both dedicated and cloud-based environments. Native mobile applications were developed for the iOS platform using Objective-C. Mobile web applications were developed for the iOS, Android, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile platforms using jQuery Mobile and HTML5.

I managed the creation and maintenance of an extensive library of cross-site advertising campaigns. I designed, developed and maintained a job posting aggregation and indexing application. I developed CRM applications to manage email marketing campaign documents, contracts, and reporting. I developed work-flow applications to provide mechanisms to correct errors in lead generation data and improve campaign effectiveness. Back-end development utilized ASP, Perl/mod_perl, PHP, and SQL to target the LAMP environment composed of RHES, Apache, MySQL. Front-end development utilized HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Prototype, jQuery, and AJAX to target all major browsers. Internal workflow applications were developed for the .NET 3.5 framework consisting of IIS, MOSS, and SQL Server using C#, ASP.NET, SQL and T-SQL.

I developed work-flow applications on the SharePoint platform for the corporate intranet to handle tasks such as software defect reporting, client relationship scoring, and employee benefits management. I developed a conference registration and scheduling system for the customer extranet that gave clients the ability to tailor their schedules and print out course material on-demand. I converted existing legacy applications to SharePoint. Software development was focused on the .NET framework composed of MOSS, ISS, and SQL Server using C#, ASP.NET, SQL and T-SQL.

I developed user behavior modeling and tracking to improve the targeting of advertisement campaigns resulting in significant gains in campaign effectiveness. I developed a custom content management system for use on FastWeb.com that integrated website content updates with existing marketing campaign management tools. I implemented real-time application performance monitoring and control systems for server clusters to improve site availability and construct an accurate capacity planning model. Software development was focused on the Linux environment consisting of CentOS/Apache web servers and RHES/Oracle RAC database servers using Perl/mod_perl, SQL and PL/SQL. Frontend development was targeted for all major browsers and composed of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and XML.

I assisted in the management of a very large Internet presence with 30k+ pages of content and over a million unique visitors every month. I provided 24-hour support for a diverse computing environment composed of Linux, Unix, and Windows machines. I led the design and development of a scalable n-tier content management and delivery system for the .NET platform. I successfully migrated the corporate online presence from a static, flat-file based platform into the new databased-driven content management system. I expanded the newly developed application to function as a web portal for online partnerships. Software development was focused on the .NET platform consisting of IIS and SQL Server using C#, ASP.NET, WinForms, SQL and T-SQL.
