An architect with over 35 years of architectural design and management experience, including 27 years with Perkins+Will. While serving as the Director of Operations in the Atlanta office of Perkins+Will for 15 years, John was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the office including: talent recruitment, project staffing and the overall financial well being of the office. John served briefly as Perkins+Will's Southeast Regional Director of Operations and also served as Atlanta's unofficial Technical Director, overseeing and supporting the technically focused staff, the technical production, quality and delivery aspects of our projects. As a client focused Managing Principal, John brings a comprehensive understanding of the interdisciplinary planning, design and project delivery processes to the clients he serves. Most recently, John acted as Managing Principal and Project Manager for a new cancer center for Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute in Little Rock, Arkansas. Now known as CARTI, the new 178,000 square foot CARTI Cancer Center won the Georgia AIA’s, 2017 People’s Choice Award. The goal of the People’s Choice Award is to inform, educate and inspire the general public, and to celebrate our clients, by showcasing architecture and interiors projects created by Georgia AIA members. The program demonstrates to the public the role of the architectural profession in enhancing the built environment while fulfilling our client’s needs. The People’s Choice Awards provides an opportunity for the public to vote on which projects are of most appeal.John is NCARB certified and is registered in GA, WV, VA, TX, AR, FL, SC and NC. John is currently focusing on serving his healthcare and corporate clients throughout the southeast.John serves on several committees at Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church and regularly volunteers his 'handy man' skills to service organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and All Hands and Hearts.
