John studied Graphic Design in the early 1990s at Sheffield. After working in graphic design for the next 4 years, he decided to follow his heart into illustration. He was influenced by the work of David Cutter, Edward Hopper and Ian Pollock.Over the years John has reinvented his style and this allowed him to keep his work up to date. His current style has been the most successful and John hopes to build on this success by appealing to different markets. 1950s screen print poster ads was the initial inspiration for this style. John's work is renowned for it's conceptual, quirky approach that has been used in editorial, design and book publishing.His past clients include: Guardian, FT, BBC, Telegraph, Haymarket, Radio Times, Cathay Pacific, Independent, Nike, Walker books, Edge magazine, Experien, Reader's digest, Economist, TES, Oxford press, Informa Plc, Experian, New York Times, Honda, Forbes, Wall Street Journal and Harvard Magazine.
