About John Houchins

I am an academic physician. I specialize in Family Medicine, including Obstetrics. Most of my professional time is devoted to running and expanding the Division of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Utah. Our two most important activities are educating the most highly qualified physician assistants in the nation and expanding the presence of the Physician Assistant profession to underserved communities nationally and worldwide. Our goal is to provide healthcare access - a basic human right - to everyone.
