I’m a lifelong learner. If there were a way to get paid to take random college classes about different topics every day, I’d be first in line. I’ve tried just about every hobby under the sun and am always ready to dive into something new. In high school, I traded football for rowing crew (and I still participate in alumni races occasionally). I also explored pottery and philosophy, even as a Mechanical Engineering major in college. What satisfies my curiosity and passion for learning the most is Software Engineering. It’s an ever-evolving field where there’s always another concept to master, topic to discuss, or project to tackle. Before transitioning to tech, I served as an Army Officer, leaving the service as a Captain. I’ve managed teams ranging from 10 to 60 people and overseen equipment valued from $4 million to $400 million. My Army experience taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, logistics, and project management, all of which I’m eager to bring into my technical career. Now, I’m focused on honing my Software Engineering skills and integrating them with the leadership and organizational expertise I developed in the Army. My goal is to advance to a role where I can lead software engineering projects and manage a team of developers. If you’re looking for someone with a unique blend of technical know-how, leadership experience, and an insatiable drive to learn, let’s connect!
