John's value to his industry has been built on a foundation of holding highly responsible, strategically focused line management positions with blue chip consumer healthcare companies. His most recent position was Senior VP, Analgesics and Business Development at WYETH CONSUMER HEALTHCARE where he had a twenty three year career. In this position he was accountable for P&L, advertising, promotion, packaging, pricing, market research, support agencies, driving innovation, growth and market share for a $550 million global analgesic franchise consisting of flagship Advil®, Advil PM and Thermacare® brands. He was also responsible for the Division's Global Business Development team that in-licenses, divests and acquires products and technologies. Prior to this position John was Senior VP, Global New Products, Business Development & Business Strategy where he oversaw global in-licensing and acquisitions for a $2.7B division, managed the development and pre-commercialization of all in-licensed technologies/internal product innovation, and developed business strategy. In 2005 John was promoted to Senior VP, Global New Products & Business Development where he created a comprehensive new product process to achieve aggressive innovation growth targets, and in-licensed three technologies with a 10 year sales RANPV of over $490 million. Prior to this, he launched his international orientation as the Senior VP, International Marketing & Global New Products where he successfully globalized the Centrum®, Advil, and Caltrate® brands by building and institutionalizing an international marketing team propelling ex-US business to three successive years of double digit sales growth. Prior positions at Wyeth included his roles as Senior VP, Respiratory Business Unit, general management of a $375 million SBU he grew to over $525 million in three years, and holding several other sales and marketing positions with increasing responsibility.
