Having tried several tables on the market, he realized that a quality home-use product simply could not be found and saw a clear opportunity. The products available simply fell well short of the convenience and durability required. Most were not high enough to reach over a standard bed. And, on average, they weighed under 20 pounds which made them weak and unstable.So, with his background as the owner of the largest, close-tolerance machine shop in America, he spent a year developing the ultimate over bed table. He knew how important features like height, vertical movement, tilt, strength and stability are to delivering a superior product. His invention now allows people to use a laptop or tablet, read and eat comfortably and safely while lying in bed. In fact, the table is so versatile and rugged, it can be used almost anywhere – from the home to hospitals and offices.

AFTER 10 YEARS OF SELLING MACHINE TOOLS I FELL INTO AN OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE A COMPANY THAT HAD MADE ORDINANCE FOR THE MILITARY. BY SOMEMIRACLE THEY ACCEPTED MY LIFE SAVINGS TO BUY ALL THE STOCK.......... CUSTOM PRODUCTS CORP. DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE ORDER AT THE TIME AND PROBABLY FELT THAT RATHER THAN LOSE MONEY THEY SHOULD SELL CHEAP. THE COMPANY WAS TYCO AND THEPERSON WAS TOM GAZZOLI. I DECIDED TO GO INTO THE JOB MACHINING BUSINESSAND ACTUALLY NEVER MADE ANY BOMB FUSES AS THEY HAD BEFORE. THE NEXT 27 YRS. WE GREW TOO BE THE LARGEST CONTRACT MACHINE SHOP IN THE USA. DURINGOUR LATER YRS. WE GREW TOO 800 PEOPLE AND A 22,000,000 PAY ROLL. OUR AVERAGEMACHINE TOOL WAS LESS THAN 5 YRS. OLD AND COST ON AVERAGE 225,000. WE HADOVER ONE HUNDRED OF THESE CNC MACHINE'S. MOSTLY FROM JAPAN. OUR Q.C. DEPARTMENTWAS ONE OF THE MOST SOPHISTICATED IN THE WORLD. WE COULD CALIBRATE WITHSOME DIMENSIONS TO ONE MILLIONTH OF AN INCH. OUR CUSTOMERS IN THE DIESEL,,DISC DRIVES, AND GYRO BUSINESS NEEDED THESE KIND OF TOLERANCES. WE HAD OUR OWN SCHOOL TO TEACH THE DEMING PHILOSOPHY AND ONE HUNDRED PER CENTOF OUR EMPLOYEE'S HAD TO GRADUATE OUR SCHOOL. I SOLD THE COMPANY IN 1998.THE 20 PER CENT INVESTOR THAT BAILED ME OUT OF A BAD SITUATION WITH AN INVESTMENT IN A HOTEL CONFIDED IN ME THAT OUR COMPANY WAS THE MOST PROFITABLE DEAL THEY EVER MADE. BUILDING CUSTOM FROM 0 TO WHERE I LEFT ITWAS THE MOST FUN I EVER HAD.
