- To manage and understand the relevant compliance requirements and legal obligationsrequired to maintain all company standards in relation to GMP, environmental and waste.- Responsibility for the management and coordination of the site’s risk & opportunitiesregister, aspects register and environmental legal register.- Responsibility for site sustainability and waste, including management of the waste servicepersonnel, processes, data and reporting, working with Finance, QM Pillar team andConnected Operations.- Responsibility for reporting, investigating (with root cause and corrective actions) andcommunicating, both internally and externally to all interested parties, all new/emergingissues and complaints.- To develop, maintain and improve the key systems (digitalization) that form the IntegratedManagement System (IMS) that ensures compliance to the company’s formal certifications,internal requirements and customer standards.- To ensure that Huhtamaki is sufficiently prepared to seamlessly transition to new standardsand legislation within a short timescale.- To deliver customer’s expectations on all compliance-related requests, such asquestionnaires, requests for documentation, completion of portals/systems etc…- To host all relevant external compliance/environmental audits (such as legal, ESOS, BRCGS,ISO9001, ISO14001, SMETA and customers etc…) and coordinate preparation work, includingensuring all non-conformances (NC’s), observations and opportunities for improvement(OFI’s) are fully closed out and documented.- To manage, lead and direct the internal audit schedule and auditing team.- To manage product safety & legality by playing a key role in the approval of materials.- Organizing all product testing against current legislation according to the schedule, which willinclude liaising with external laboratories, suppliers and updating records accordingly.- To be involved in continuous improvement activities and project work.

Key roles include:Managing the QC and QA personnel.Generating and maintaining all QMS company wide.Providing technical assistance to customers (where applicable).Overseeing all development tasks from NPD to reformulation and method development.Producing risk assessments and playing a key role in site safety.Management of all Regulatory systems to ennnsure compliance with BRC/REACH/CLP etc.Represent the company as part of the UKCPI.Manage the environmental management systems inline with the AISE sustainability charter.Recent role expansion has seen the addition of managing the manufacturing department in addition to the above role.

Main Duties Include:-To test raw materials and finished products in accordance with specifications and laboratory methods.To interpret and report such results.To liaise with the Technical department if finished products are out of specification.To liaise with the Manufacturing department as to the status of product under test.To carry out calibration of test equipment in accordance with defined procedures and schedules and to assist in the validation of new lab equipment.To prepare and standardise laboratory reagents in accordance with defined procedures and British/European Pharmacopoeia.To maintain and update finish product bulk standard samples.To file retained samples such that the store is maintained in a clean and tidy condition, leaving samples readily retrievable.To prepare and review laboratory procedures in conjunction with the laboratory supervisor.

Identify raw material deliveries and arrange samples for QC Analysis.Monitoring storage temps of samples. Receiving training on laboratory analytical techniques.Organising samples from the supplier to adhere to MHRA standards.Supervisor cover for holidays.
