Permanent - Intelligence Researcher with Merseyside Police requiring MV, SC and STRAP vetting.

Contractor - Intelligence Researcher based at Force HQ, engaged in research and Analysis of crime paterns accross Merseyside.

Investigator for the North West Regional Intelligence Unit, investigating and enhacing intelligence profiles, including Serious and Organised Crime Groups.

Starting new role, back with Merseyside Police on a short term contract, as an intelligence researcher.

Responsible for the management and deployment of 80 - 130 perimiter security guards, to protect the largest venue outside the Olympic Park. Ensuring the security of the site and assets within the venue.Dealing with crisis management, staff welfare, discipline and staff developement.

Engaged in investigations for private companies and individuals. Statement, Interviews, Covert Surveillance conducted.

Working on behalf of The Office for National Statistics, as a Non Compliance Officer, engaged in interviewing householders, at their homes, who have refused to complete the 2011 Census. Where possible convincing them to complete a questionnaire, or if they continue to refuse, then interviewing under caution on the doorstep and reporting them for summons. Ensuring that witness statements and interviews are conducted under PACE guidelines.

Detective Sergeant Force Firearms and Robbery Intelligence, managing 3 Detective Constables and 3 support staff. Handing sensitive and time critical intelligence often included life or death situations.Investigated databases and analysed information to provide full intelligence picture. Carried out liaison with outside agencies including IFIG. Commenced a review of the intelligence process within the unit. Identified areas of improvement including up skilling of the team.

Detective Sergeant Investigating Serious and Organised Crime, managing 12Detective Constables responsible for ensuring staff deployed within national guide lines and legislation including Health and Safety, Police and Criminal Evidence Act, Regulation of Investigation Powers Act.Carried out an investigation into a Security Company who where breaching the Private Security Act legislation, this involved liaison with DWP, HMRC, SIA, Borders Agency and HM Government Department for Business. The company had a 6 million pound turnover during the previous three years and employed 200 individuals, many of whom were illegally employed and some illegally in the country. As a result of the overwhelming evidence produced to the courts all three directors pleaded guilty to fraudulent trading. As a result was commended by the Chief Constable for my leadership and investigative qualities. The method of investigation is held as best practise and forces throughout the country have utilised it to tackle other rogue security companies.

Detective investigating Serious and Organised Crime. Carrying out directed surveillance on organised criminal groups.Investigated an organised criminal gang who where responsible for importing a large quantity of class ‘A’ drugs from the continent, and then engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of these drugs, to England, Scotland, Isle of Man and Eire. The investigation took over three years to culminate in the arrest of the persons involved during which Class ‘A’ drugs in excess of £4 million, Firearms and large cash seizures made under POCA. All persons arrested pleaded guilty and a total sentence of 343 years was passed. Awarded a Chief Constables Commendation, for Professionalism, Commitment, Flexibility and Investigative expertise.
