Tired of sitting, I enrolled in the class and quickly advanced through the belts. I became an instructor and had my own classes with up to fifty students. It was a blast!When we moved back to Los Angeles, I looked around for Dojo opportunities. However, rent is expensive and I shelved the idea of opening up a youth training center focused on citizenship and exercise.Several months later and completely out-of-the-blue a friend of mine asks “Do you remember Roxana? She’s moving and selling her business, Playball California. You should look into it.” It was casual talk at a dinner party and though curious, I let it slide. A couple days later, a best friend of mine calls me from San Francisco and says “Hey Dude, did you know Roxana’s moving? She’s selling her Playball business and you would be perfect”. The coincidences were too strong to ignore and I called Roxana.Roxana described a wonderful business based on the idea of instilling confidence and character values into young children through sports skills training and positive coaching. She was working with schools on the Westside of Los Angeles and sent me a list. Two of the schools were walking distance from my home and I knew this was the right fit for me.Working with children, coaching life-skills through sports, and exercising outside in Southern California…I look forward to the challenges and the opportunities this new adventure promises.Let’s Playball California!!
