Rig / operation engineer in the onshore operation organization for the semi submergible drilling rig West Phoenix. Main tasks for this position is to coordinate and support the operation organization onboard the rig with technical support related to equipment and system maintanence and repare for both the drilling and marine systems. The rig/ operation engineer is also responsible for planning, preparation and execution of rig projects such as onboard equipment and facility modifications and shorter inshore operations, then in a position as Project Manager.The rig/ operation engineer is also responsible for the technical communication towards maritime authorities and class society. During inshore or yardstay the complete rig (OIM) organisation were reporting to the project manager for the inshore/ tard stay.

Korea

Engineering and commissioning manager for building of the semi submergible drilling rig West Phoenix at Samsung Heavy Industry (SHI) yard in South Korea. The main task for this position was to follow up the engineering and commissioning activities toward the construction yard, and coordinate Sedrill discipline engineers (7 engineers and 15 technicians for commissioning). The contract between Seadrill and SHI was an EPCI contract.

Overall responsible for Quality (Quality Assurance and Quality Control) within the Lamprell, Jebel Ali organizationInterface with Production, engineering, procurement and Planning Management, Class and Clients on Quality related issues. Reported directly to Lamprell Vice President, Dubai, Jebel Ali yard.Personnel responsibility for approximately 60 QA/ QC engineers and NDE technicians.

Responsible for the company systems regarding Welding technology Which includes: Preparation of weld procedures (WPS and WPQ), selection of welding consumables, evaluation of welding equipment, Certification of welders and maintenance of the company EN 729-2 welding quality system.Responsible for the company QC systems which include Non Destructive Testing and Dimensional Control sections.For both disciplines, responsible for budgets in basic and project organisations. Also responsible for manpower planning and personnel handling.Responsible for both technical and commersial bid input regarding own disciplines
