I began my transportation career at age 18 sweeping floors. I quickly progressed to Journeyman technician working on tractors, bulk cement, fuel and propane trailers. I then transitioned into the garbage industry as a journeyman technician. At age 25 I began managing my first service department. I moved to Chicago in 2002, where I took a job as a technician for the garbage industry again. Two years later I got into leasing as a Senior Service Manager for a major leasing company, overseeing three service departments. I then went on to oversee nine service departments for Penske Truck Leasing as the North Chicago District Service Manager. I received my Green belt in Six Sigma. This certifies me to utilize statistical data to reduce variation in a process, a very useful tool.Today I am the General manager/Vice President of Operations at Northwest Freightliner in Palatine, IL. I'm excited to lead the team to success expanding on our process management and moving towards certifying our facility as an Elite Support facility.
