Dr. Jichao Jiao is the Associate Professor at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and also the senior scientist of SANY company. Dr. Jiao's research areas include machine learning, computer vision and autonomous driving, and he has authored/co-authored hundreds of technical papers over a wide range of research topics. Dr. Jiao received Late Sydney R. Parker Best Paper Award and M. N. S. Swamy Best Paper Award. He is also a China Institute of Communications Senior member.Dr. Jiao is also the senior scientist of SANY company in autonomous vehicles. As a team leader, he designed the project construction of the SLAM system based on the multi-sensors that included camera and LiDAR. Moreover, Dr. Jiao developed and launched an early warning model for the hydraulic system of the excavator based on data mining technology. The proposed model can process more than 20 millions data each day. As a team member, our team received the First Prize in 5G Application of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, 2020.
