Director Of Communications
I served as the primary liaison between our executive and production teams and the rest of the world. Chiefly, I worked with all of our clients and vendors; I shopped around for new machinery and ways to expand our business and capabilities, I was very much involved in expansion - researching industrial/commercial property, scheduling meetings and site visits with our executive team and potential landlords. I made efforts to promote our business through involvement in trade expositions, networking heavily and reaching out to acquire new clientele. I organized many meetings with our clients and potential clients, scheduled site surveys of which I was often involved in representing our president. I created an online presence across various social media platforms for Art and Carpentry, I maintained these sites myself or would delegate these tasks to members on my team. We were a small shop so I found myself wearing many "hats" I helped in sourcing materials, special hardware and expert talent in our more complicated projects. I coordinated many installations in high-end retail spaces for various events, often traveling far to carry out these installations and take-downs. I have some manufacturing knowledge and experience, which was often called on when I was required to run or perform maintenance on our lasers and CNC machines. I also trained people to operate these machines for our production teams. I served as the interpreter and lead communicator in many meetings with clients, vendors, lawyers, accountants and realtors. In all, I was involved in the company from production to installation and maintenance - after I left the shop, I was often asked back and helped them at a freelance capacity with many of my old responsibilities.
