Experienced Workday Security professional with a passion for continuous improvement and emerging technology.I've spent 30+ years in the Higher Education industry, all at Fort Hays State University. With a passion for providing great customer service at a time when good customer service is lacking. I started working for the University when the IBM Mainframe was king. Starting out in operations as a student employee, and quickly moving up to the position of Systems Programmer. As new technologies emerged, so did my quest for learning them. From the advent of personal computers, progressing through the client/server computing era, into web based computing, and now firmly planted in the cloud, I have been diligently educating myself in emerging technologies and am ready for the next stage of my career wherever that may lead. I enjoy new challenges, and by embracing new technologies instead of fighting them, it has given me the opportunity to change with the times and stay relevant in the world of technology. Where computers underpinned by the exponential increase in processing power and decline in the cost of computer technology, more commonly known as Moore’s Law, has led me to where I am now. My current experiences have led me to the position of Workday Security Lead where I collaborate with our tech team and academic colleagues to identify, develop, implement, and maintain the Workday Security Matrix.
