I have vast experience in corporate leadership, especially in the insurance sector cutting across the East African Region.I cut my management teeth at an early age of 28 years when I was recruited by Jubilee Insurance company Kenya as the marketing manager (Life) with the responsibility of building a versatile agency force to drive the individual life business.Over the years I have grown through the ranks and worked with various companies in many leadership roles rising to the position of CEO of ICEA Uganda Limited,a subsidiary of ICEALION Kenya. I also doubled as the Executive Director of the Subsidiary ICEA Asset management Company .After leading ICEA Uganda limited as a composite company for 5 years ,the company had to split into Life business and General business thereby creating two companies. Managing the split process was a great challenge and especially at the short notice given by the regulator.My pride is not in managing the process itself but in having been able to build the two business units to a level where they could stand on their own as individual viable companies, after the split. A number of companies never managed to survive.31 years since my graduation from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Commerce ,Upper Second Class Honours, and having reached the peak of my career in employment, I felt that I needed to be out there sharing my knowledge and experience with young and upcoming business leaders. Since August 2017 I am a performance and leadership development consultant and Executive Coach. I have a great passion for helping business leaders entrench a coaching culture in their organisations. Coaching helps empower staff through asking the right questions rather than telling them what to do. This in turn cultivates a culture of high performance and staff engagement.Below is my track record of my performance in ICEA.
