About John Kean

Having an analytic approach to broadcast engineering matters, I love laboratory and field testing projects to gather information and solve questions of technology. As Senior Technologist at NPR Labs it was a great platform to do both--and work with some great friends in the industry.Now, as a freelance consultant, current studies range from modeling and design of synchronous FM transmitter networks to psycho-acoustic testing of audio loudness and loudness range.As the recipient of the NAB's 2017 Engineering Achievement Award for Radio I'd like to thank members for their support.
