I have proven expertise in delivering increased profitability and enterprise value through the development and execution of strategic planning initiatives through organic and acquisitive growth and consequential post deal integration at a national and international level. I am a genuinely innovative thinker and I have a track record of creating developing and launching new products and businesses and the transformation and change of existing processes. One of the attributes that set me apart from other senior executives is my “contemporary Insight” with regard to digital , the movement from tangible to intangible, and the future of insurance. I have worked in a senior capacity for several major insurance companies around the world, including Royal Sun Alliance, Aviva, AEGON, Suncorp and latterly Towergate. In addition I have worked for one of the world’s premier engineering firms MWH in the area of Catastrophe Risk Resilience and Recovery. I was born in the Republic of Irelands’ capital city, Cork in 1966. I hold a BA and MA from the National University of Ireland; I am a Chartered Insurer and attended the General Management Programme in Business at INSEAD. I am accredited in Six Sigma, Lean, AGILE, EFQM and Baldrige.
