These companies have operated successfully for over 20 years in Australia; supplying services to Exploration and Mining companies, Government Departments and the Agriculture sector. The major companies that have used his company’s field services are FMG’s Iron ore mining operation in the Pilbara region, the Murrin Murrin Nickel Laterite mine, Mount Weld Rare Earth project and Toro Energy’s Uranium mine in Western Australia.Prior running these companies I was employed with the following companies.Terraform Australia, Manager: 2008 - 2014Kevron Geophysics (now owned by Fugro), Senior Operator / Surveyor, WA 1994 – 1995MAPS Geosystems; Chief Aerial Navigator / Surveyor, U.A.E, Africa, Europe, 1993 – 1994AAM Surveys Pty Ltd; Aerial Navigator / Surveyor, Sydney, 1990 – 1992Australian Army Survey Corp, Surveyor / Cartographer, Vic, SA, 1983 – 1989I am now more focused on more high end GPS / GNSS technology, surveying and cartography. I along with many other people are now using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s) to capture aerial photos and Near Infrared images for mapping and land interpretation. It has become a quick cost effective way for data capture. My previous experience in the analogue age is still relevant, and helps me better understand the aerial mapping process.
