As Senior Director of Investigations and Intelligence for Allied Universal, John Keeney’s duties include conducting and managing due diligence investigations, business intelligence research, and FCPA and Patriot Act compliance investigations. Keeney began his investigative career as a Paralegal for the Investigations Bureau in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. There, he played an integral role in a specialized trial program that focused on vigorous prosecution in cases involving the attempted murder of New York City Police Officers. He also supported numerous high-profile New York City Police Department investigations.With this background, he moved on to manage, coordinate and supervise investigations in over 120 countries on behalf of his clients in preparation of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other investment/business opportunities. He has also been involved in management of complex litigation support and financial fraud matters.As an investigator for a previous employer, he participated in complex corporate due diligence matters, confidential background investigations, litigation support, and discreet surveillance and security services for venture capital, legal and private clients. As a field operative for the same company, Keeney traveled extensively throughout the United States to perform time-sensitive onsite investigations, including researching and analyzing vast amounts of public records. Keeney earned his Bachelor of Arts with distinction in Criminal Justice and a minor in Business Administration from Stonehill College in North Easton, Massachusetts in 1993. He is a member of the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and possesses excellent report writing and editing skills.
