Remediation work totaled $10 million. Completed additional work on thermal unit while offline for remediation avoiding $1 million additional cost of scheduled major outage in 2013. - Led the NSP labour disruption contingency planning for year 2012, generating and implementing continuity preparations during the final days of negotiations. - Met required timelines and budgets on 10 weeks of planned maintenance outages in 2013, totaling over $6 million.- Successfully worked with team to achieve heat rate fuel savings of $1 million annually.- Successfully completed the $4 million ash disposal site expansion project, including leading the service contractor in the improvement of their environmental management systems.- Gained employee involvement on the development of an improved risk assessment process and peer safety reviews.- Developed team members to be successful contributors to the plant, including maintenance superintendent and supervisors, planner, operations superintendent, and continuous improvement leads.Accomplishment Highlights- Winner of NSP Customer Service Merit award, 2012- Completed Leading Emera program, 2012
